Basketry classes ( and many other wonderful crafts) are offered at the new, spacious Craft Center at beautiful Thompson Park in Lincroft, NJ. If you live in the Monmouth County area, come and see what a peaceful setting this is! Classes are sponsored by the Monmouth County Parks & Recreation Commission .

For further info or to register for basketry classes or classes in other fine crafts such as pottery and painting, call 732-842-4000.

Above is a photo of some of my happy beginner level students. (click on the photo to enlarge) In the photo they have just completed the Shaker Style Market Basket, designed by Mandy Applin Miller. If you are a teacher and looking for new ideas, this basket is a joy to weave and to teach as it is continously woven--it just flows. This was the very first basket for the student in the lower right portion of the photo. As you can imagine, she was thrilled! **Correction** It was also Regina's first basket. Regina is the lady standing with the blue apron on.

During the past year I have been unable to continue teaching basketry due to health issues and time constraints. Thank you to Martha Costain for teaching basket classes at our Craft Center and keeping the basketry "spirit" alive! I hope I can return to teaching some classes soon, but first I plan to come back as a student and have some stress free fun--see you all real soon !

Happy Weaving !
