By Brianne Feldpausch ** this is a basket pattern, instructions to weave the basket shown; NOT a finished basket. This is a large coloful basket - perfect for lugging things to the beach or a picnic. Change the color schemes to create a different pattern effect. Dimensions are 17" long x 7" wide x 17" to top of swing handle ( 8 3/4" to top of actual basket). Instructions say intermediate level, but I think this would be fine for a beginner to tackle as it is just basic "over, under" weaving technique. Weaving supplies: 7 x 17" square top swing D handle, #2 Round reed, 1/2" Flat reed ( natural & dyed red, yellow, green and blue), 3/16" Flat Oval reed, 7/8" Flat reed, 1/4" Flat reed, seagrass to fill rim if desired.
