This is a basket pattern, instructions to weave the basket shown; not a finished basket.
This is a useful intermediate level basket- although I think an experienced beginner would not have a problem because the directions are so well written. Learn how to step down your rows to make a slant to your rim, and also learn how to weave a braided rim.
Woven on n 10 x 12" D handle- all materials available below.
Dimensions: base is 16 1/2" x 10", height with handle is 12", height without handle is 5 1/2".
Materials: #2 Round- natural & dyed, 10 x 12" D handle, 1/4" Flat Oval, 1/2" Flat-natural & dyed, 1/4" Flat, 5/8" Flat, 3/8" Flat.

|  |  | |  |  | Seagrass (cord) Sold in one lb. coils, seagrass is frequently used for filling the gap between the basket rim before lashing.
It is also used as a weaver for accents and may be dyed .
