**This is a basket pattern~~instructions to weave the basket shown** This one is a biggie! A beautiful biggie! Woven on a 12 x 20 oval hoop. The hoop becomes the handle and the challange is shaping the basket to round. I first saw this basket at the 1996 NCBA convention--it was woven by Suzanne Moore and the handle was stained cherry while the rest of the basket was natural. That combination is beautiful. Uses 7/8" flat, 11/64" flat oval, 7mm or 1/4" flat oval, #3RR, 1/2" half round ( 2-6 ft. pieces), #3 seagrass, medium binder cane. |
