By Mary E. Skillings This is a basket "pattern"; instructions to weave the basket shown...not the actual finished basket. A very unique, large and colorful basket. A large oval hoop woven in near the top of the basket creates side "hoop" handles. Directions are given for wrapping the hoop handle with reed and seagrass and also for weaving a seagrass twisted heart right into the basket. Intermediate level weaving suggested. 10 x 14 oval hickory hoop available below. Uses: 5/8" Flat, 1/4" Flat Oval, #2 or #3 Round reed for twining, 1/2" Flat Oval. |
