By Jenny Antoline This is a basket pattern- instructions to weave the basket shown-this is not a finished basket. This is an easy to weave beginner level market basket with the added bonus of learning how to do an "over 2, under 1" twill weave. Base size is 8"w x 10" long and height is 12" to top of handle. Your will do traditional over under weaving with 9 rows of twill weave in the center of the basket sides. Would look great with a contrasting color on the twill. Required materials may be ordered below. Materials for this basket : 1/2" Flat, 1/4" Flat or Flat oval, #1 Round ( we do not carry #1 but you may substitute #0 or #2 Round), #4 Round for rim filler ( we carry #5 which can be substituted or you may use seagrass), 5/8" Flat oval, an 8 x 12" round top D handle. |
