By Jennifer Sampson Rhodes (formerly Forsyth) This is a basket pattern-instructions to weave the basket shown, not a finished basket. This basket was designed by Jenn for the quilters at Mary Rose's Quilt Shop in Reading, MA. Weaving dimensions are 8" wide x 10 1/2" long x 4 1/2" high. Accented with dyed weavers and seagrass twining. Instructions given for inserting 1/4" dowel through handle to hold spools of thread, or you may purchase dowel from Jenn. Materials required: 8 x 12" Round top D handle, long piece of 1/4" dowel, 5/8" Flat, 1/2" Flat,#3 seagrass( rim filler), #1 seagrass for twining accents, 3/8" Flat, 1/4" Flat or Flat oval dyed and natural, 1/2" Flat Oval for rims.
