By Mary E. Skillings This is a basket pattern--instructions to make these baskets, not the actual finished baskets. It's time to get rid of those ugly trash bins ! Here are two very pretty ones you can weave. Instructions for two sizes and shapes. Square to round basket uses an 8" square wooden base and is 9" x 9" x 14" high. The oval basket uses a 5 x 8" oval wooden base and is 6" x 9" x 14" high. Both wooden bases are available below for your shopping convenience. Both baskets use a 1" maple strip for optional stenciling or painting. Maple also takes dye nicely, so keep that in mind for another decorative option. Both use 1/2" flat for stakes, 3/8" flat for weavers, 1/2" flat oval for rim and 1/4" flat or flat oval for lashing. |
