Please remember that reed is a natural material grown in the jungle. Once it is cut and processed it is vulnerable to external conditions. At KMC reed is stored in "climate controlled" conditions. Dehumidifier is run during humid seasons and humidity added during dry winter months. NEVER store your reed near heat vents or in plastic bags. Always plan on some waste in a coil when planning reed purchase for special projects. This is not a sales pitch, just a fact of life with weaving with reed. | Sold in one lb. Coils, smoked reed has a nice walnut color all the way through the reed. Makes for nice accents rows or a whole basket. This is a beautiful quality smoked reed--not fuzzy and dingy like most I have seen. Due to space limitations we cannot offer every size of smoked reed, so we will be periodically changing the sizes we offer. Let us know if you are wanting a specific size and we will try our best! Smoked reed can be combined with natural reed for quantity discounts. |
