| Powdered dye for use with hot water--each 1/3 oz. package dyes up to 2 lbs of reed. Mix with one gallon of near boiling water in a steel or enamel pot. I recommend reserving one pot and metal spoon and tongs for just dyeing reed--do not use again with food. Each package comes with complete directions and a sample of dyed reed of that color.
