This is a basket pattern; instructions to weave the basket shown; not a finished basket.
Definitely a "working bushel" basket- this new pattern from Linda Boyle Gibson is large & useful as well as pleasing to the eye.
It has a twined & footed bottom and is woven with start-stop rows. A decorative row of 5/8" FO is woven around the center of the basket & double lashed in.
Dimensions: 12" tall, 15" diameter.
Materials needed:
3/4" Flat, #3 Round reed, 7mm Flat Oval, 5/8" Flat Oval 7mm Flat, 1/2" Half Round reed, 5/8" Half Round reed, 1/4" Flat Oval, 3/8" Flat. Two 5" bushel handles.

 | Half Round Reed~one lb.coil Half round reed is as it sounds, exactly one half of a thick piece of round reed. Thicker than flat oval and is great for sturdy rims on utility or historic baskets.May also be used to make your own handles. Be sure to scarf down the overlaps well on half round when using for rims.
